Today marks the beginning of the end of these painful years - processing my father's death and the devastating pandemic.
It's been far too long spent sculpting this piece; it has cured me (partially), but now I must let it go.
Today, I have some help: the soul of Jamie Lidell, who created a wonderful "remix," transforming this dream into a song. He writes:
"When I first encountered this project, I was deeply moved by the energy, love, and sadness that was poured into the music. It felt important to approach my version with care, bringing my strongest connection to music—my voice. At the same time, I was reading Christopher Bache’s work on consciousness, particularly his experiences with what he calls the 'diamond light,' a higher state of awareness. His vision has brought me comfort, reminding me that in death, we may expand from being individuals into something greater, like a wave merging with the ocean. I wish both the dead and those who mourn them the peace of that light."
